FROM HEDKANDI TO FIERCE ANGEL
Hed Kandi is still an international force in music being led by Ministry Of Sound.
It was originally created by Mark Doyle, in the beginning Mark was simply a label manager for independent radio station jazzfm. After suggesting the creation of Hed Kandi he became responsible for every facet of the brand from leading the overall logo and brand concept (including the discovery of the now iconic Jason Brooks images) plus compiling the music, negotiating terms for the tracks, marketing the CD and all things in between. Fierce Angel events were also launched and by 2003 the brand was holding over 400 parties worldwide.
Mark also signed Stonebridge in 2004 and his artist album was licensed to over 20 countries and yielded 2 top 5 hits & a top 30 hit “Put Em High, Take Me Away” and “Freak On” “Take Me Away.” Further artists were also signed including Peyton, Bonnie Bailey & Late Night Alumni. During the time Mark he worked the Mark had no ownership of Hedn Kandi and when Jazzfm was taken over by a much large company “Guardian Media Group” they demanded certain changes within Hed Kandi that Mark no longer agreed with so he resigned and the left the company. After 6 months GMG realising they could not run the brand sold itto Ministry Of Sound.
