Balearic House • Afro-Latin Grooves • Global Dancefloor Storyteller

Xander James is an international House Music DJ and producer crafting immersive dancefloor journeys through Balearic
grooves and melodies, Afro-Latin beats, and world sounds that connect people through rhythm, energy, and emotion.

A global House Music storyteller blending Balearic beats, Afro-Latin rhythms, and dancefloor energy.

Xander James is an Electronic Music Connoisseur, DJ, Producer, and international recording artist with more than 25 years of
experience in the global music and events industry. Known for creating immersive dance music experiences that connect people
through rhythm, energy, and emotion, Xander has performed thousands of DJ sets across clubs, festivals, radio, and curated events
while building a reputation for musical depth, storytelling, and authenticity on the dancefloor.

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Xander has held residencies at numerous respected venues throughout the city, managed weekly
club nights including the renowned Yum Yum House parties, and hosted radio shows on underground dance music stations such as
Street FM and Kiss FM. Over the years, he has travelled internationally, performing guest sets and connecting with industry peers
across Asia, Europe, Africa, South America, and the United States, with appearances in destinations including Indonesia and
Greece, while maintaining strong connections with the global House Music community – particularly the influential Ibiza scene.

As a recording artist and producer, Xander has released original productions and remixes on respected international labels including
Leisure Music Productions (Vienna), Capire Records (New York), Dualism Records (Miami), Pasqua Records (Baltimore), Gotta Keep
Faith Records (Milan), Deep Soul Space (Athens), Bizar Recordings (New York), Kingdom Digital (Chicago), and more. His music
blends technical precision with soulful musical storytelling, pushing boundaries while remaining rooted in the timeless spirit of house
music culture.

Xander’s distinctive sound is a unique blend of House and Techno beats layered with Deep House grooves, soulful vocals, tribal
influences, Afro House and Latin House rhythms, and Tech House energy. His sets and productions are a fusion of Balearic
melodies, world sounds and Afro-Latin percussion, creating dynamic journeys that can range from downtempo sunset sessions to
uplifting, hands-in-the-air dancefloor moments.

His releases have received notable support and chart recognition. The single “Balearic Dream” was featured exclusively by
Traxsource as an Upfront Promo Release, charting at #8 on the Traxsource Top 100 Pre-Orders and #15 on the Afro House Essentials
chart. His collaborative EP “We Are” was also exclusively featured by Traxsource across both their House and Afro House categories,
with the Sundown Mix reaching #28 on the Top 100 Essential Afro House tracks. His remix of “Love Come Down” for Chicago House
vocalist Kim Jay was selected by Stompy as a ‘Picks of the Week’ release and appeared on the Unreleased EP, which debuted at #15
on the South American National Dance Music Charts and reached #9 on the US House Charts.

Beyond individual releases, Xander has also gained recognition for his DJ mixes. His 2015 full-length mix Ibiza•2•Melbourne reached
#14 on Beatport’s Top 100 DJ Mixes chart, followed by the 2016 release Melbourne•2•Miami, which reached the same position the
following year.

His work has also been recognised within the wider music media. Xander was featured in the Local Artists Spotlight by DJ Mag
Australia and interviewed by Shannon “DJ Skip” Syas alongside four-time Grammy nominee Steve “Silk” Hurley for Chicago’s
renowned S&S Records. He has also been interviewed by Pierre Andre Evans, founder of House/Dance Music culture publication Go
BANG Magazine! in Chicago, and Melbourne local artist and music journalist Kym Wilson. His story and music journey is featured in the
Amazon best-seller “In Their Own Words” by House Music originator Jesse Saunders.

In addition to performing and producing music, Xander is also a visionary event curator and community builder. In 2015, he founded
House For Love, a non-profit initiative and fundraising movement dedicated to empowering those in need through music, social
connectedness, and humanitarian values. By bringing together leaders from diverse communities and industries, House For Love
creates music-focused events that inspire transformation and positive social impact.

In 2016, he launched Balearic: Day & Night, a series of open-air events inspired by the spirit and sound of Ibiza, designed to recreate
the magic of European summer gatherings through organic grooves, world sounds, and sunset dancefloor experiences.

The following year, he founded House Nation Live, a global house DJ collective delivering livestreamed video shows to audiences
worldwide. Focused on diversity, authenticity, and community rather than mainstream trends, the platform showcases talented DJs from
multicultural backgrounds while bringing together producers, artists, and house music lovers across the globe.

In 2018, Xander co-founded HOLA (House Of Love Africa), a non-profit organisation based in Johannesburg, supporting
impoverished children, families, and communities in Soweto, Gauteng, and across South Africa.

Alongside his creative work, Xander has dedicated significant time to mentoring aspiring DJs, producers, and creatives, sharing his
knowledge, experience, and mindset tools with emerging talent… As of 2019, he has also officially expanded this mentoring work to
empower young professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners through his experience in music events, business, and personal
development.

Since 2021, along with other scheduled DJ gigs and regular travel commitments, Xander has held a long-standing summer residency at
Cargo in Melbourne’s Docklands, one of the city’s premier waterfront open-air venues. For over six months each year, he has
performed extended DJ sets of more than five hours several nights per week – including New Year’s Eve celebrations – while also
creating opportunities for emerging DJs to perform and develop their careers.

In 2026, Xander continues to evolve creatively. Alongside hosting radio shows on My House Radio FM (New York) and other platforms,
producing new music in the studio, recording with live musicians, and performing both locally and internationally, he is currently
planning upcoming events and performances across Australia, Europe, and beyond – continuing his mission of bringing people together
through timeless House Music experiences.

“Every set, every track, every creative project, every event… My mission is to inspire and connect people through music and self-
expression.” – XJ
