Ronnie Herel is a renowned DJ, radio presenter, and former recording artist. He is known for his contributions to urban music and has had a long-standing career in the music industry. Herel started his career as one half of the dance music production duo Quartz, with their first hit "Meltdown" followed by "It's Too Late" featuring Dina Carroll, which reached number 8 on the UK charts in 1991.

Herel has hosted shows on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, and currently can be heard on the London station Mi-Soul. He was one of the first DJ signings for 1 Xtra and was the most listened to DJ via the 1Xtra website. He has hosted various shows including "The Basement" and "1xtra Chart show" on BBC Radio 1Xtra, and more recently, the weekday 'drive-time' show on Mi-Soul (LONDON/UK).

In addition to his DJ and radio work, Herel has also been involved in music production and has collaborated with various artists. He has worked with the Brand New Heavies, Clubland, and DJ LJ Blends. He was also a co-director of the record shop Uptown Records in the mid-late 1990s.

Ronnie’s contributions to the music industry have been recognized with two MOBO nominations in the categories of Best Radio Show and Best DJ at the Urban Music Awards 2008. He has interviewed some of the greats in the world of music, including Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Erykah Badu, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Estelle, Alicia Keys, John Legend, and Stevie Wonder.
