With the successful summer season of 2017 slowly coming to an end, Destino Ibiza wants to announce five spellbinding new shows to be held every Thursday starting August 31st and closing September 28th.
One of the most stunning destinations the white isle has to offer, Destino Ibiza continues to welcome some of the finest artists from across the entire musical spectrum to their superb setting atop Cap Martinet in Talamanca Bay. With sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, Dalt Vila and the island of Formentera and top notch talent each week, it’s no wonder they have become renowned for their epic sunset events.
Destino Ibiza has been one of the biggest clubbing attractions during this summer season. From its Opening party on June 2nd having well-respected guests like Solomun, Luciano, Bedouin, Damian Lazarus, Guy Gerber or Maceo Plex who led the the glamorous open-air clifftop club till August 31st. It’s now Dj Shimza’s turn, who by this time is sure to know the space and crowd like the back of his hand and lead the journey charge with plenty of flair.
Unquestionably one of South Africa’s brightest talents, Shimza made his Ibiza debut at Destino’s Closing Party 2016 alongside Luciano to much hype and immense acclaim. A day as unexpected as memorable! His latest track ‘Destino’ forthcoming on Djoon Experience is poised to take his career to the next level.

DGTL will return to the NDSM- Docklands in Amsterdam for the 5th edition on April 14th (Opening Night), 15th & 16th 2017.
The ‘Modularity’ theme is based on the various elements of a modular synthesizer – perhaps the most central instrument in dance music other than a drum computer – like input, filter, frequency and amp. The application of the ‘Modularity’ theme to DGTL Amsterdam 2017 will result in each stage, as well as other relevant points on the NDSM terrain, to have its own characteristics in sound but also design and overall feel.
For instance, the entrance to DGTL Amsterdam 2017 will be renamed ‘Input’, while the first stage that visitors will come across is called ‘Generator’, the place where the festival-goers are powered up before they’re let loose, so to speak. Throughout both days, visitors can expect Max Cooper, HVOB [live], Jan Blomqvist [live],as well as Speedy J and Sterac b2b Konstantin at the Generator. Loaded up and ready, visitors can continue their festival trip down to other stages like ‘Filter’ and ‘Frequency’, where acts such as Agoria, Moscoman [live], Midland and Space Dimension Controller [live] will be performing.
The final destination on the map is the ‘Amp’, where the visitor is unleashed as a plenary sound signal. The Amp will function as the co-host stages – Mosaic By Maceo and Dixon Curated – over the weekend. Finally, there is the ‘Gain’, which is hosted by Resident Advisor on both days, featuring such artists as Jennifer Cardini, Matrixxman, Sandrien and Willow. Those that want to escape the sonic wilderness of the festival can find peace in the ‘Mute’ area.
All these different stages combined form and reinforce the key pillars and values of DGTL, like originality and quality, resulting in a truly immersive festival experience that sends a clear and positive message of innovation and sustainability at the same time.
Ibiza club Space will keep its name in 2017, said Ushuaïa owner Abel Matutes Juan.
A businessman and ex-politician, Matutes Juan is the CEO of Matutes Group, the company that runs venues like Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Club, Hard Rock Ibiza and Space. In 1989, Matutes Group leased Space to local nightclub impresario Pepe Roselló, who ran it up until
December 31st, 2016. Now that the club is back under Matutes Juan’s control, he’s since confirmed that the name will stay the same. “It will certainly open as Space this year,” he told Ibiza TV channel TEFTV on December 21st. (Via Periodico De Ibiza.) “It’s an accredited brand, which does not prevent us from adding another name that will link it with our other establishments.” Later in the interview, Matutes Juan added that no renovations would be made to the venue in 2017
The August SHOWCASE at Cable Ski Event came and went in a flash. This month we were joined by the Ferrari Club Marbella and it was another superb day full of fun and frolics. Derek D, Sema Garay, Tito Pulpo and DJ Biggie all put on superb performances once again for the Redwoods Cableski crowd.

WildBill joins us from the USA. Up until recently Bill had been an avid and consistent listener to BeachGrooves Radio (Marbella) from across the water starting his early mornings with our afternoon shows. Always a lover of music but never a public DJ, Bill had one of his mixes submitted to Derek D for a listen. We were so impressed he now joins us as our latest resident every Saturday from 2pm – 3pm CET. Welcome to BeachGrooves WildBill! Enjoy the ride…
The BeachGrooves party van is still making it’s rounds with DJ Keef Luv behind the wheel. If you see him, give him a wave, he may have a pressie for you.

The studio production suite is once again in motion. After a full project plan and inspection, the build is now underway. It will give us our own facilities for production of music, promotional material and recording facilities. Look out for more projects and productions coming from the BeachGrooves camp.
The BeachGrooves Shop is now online. On there you can buy some of the BeachGrooves merchandise we have on offer with more to come. For the future you will also be able to purchase tickets from there and well as the range of items we are currently looking into.
